Twitter, Facebook, Google say they are private companies and can filter or promote content anyway they want. If you don't like it, you should find a service you like better.

This is true by the rules of laissez-faire capitalism. By the same rules if anyone has the money to buy them out, he can do so and change the way they filter anyway he wants.
OR you can say very large, near monopoly corporations have a responsibility to the public interest.
There are reasonable arguments for both views. But if you say both at the same time for different companies, you have a lot of explaining to do.
